Album Review: New Amerikah Part One: 4th World War

Although I felt Honey was a commercial single, I really love this album. On the professional standpoint of promoting a album, your single needs to be a hit to produce that large fanbase which contributes to a successful album so I dont want to contradict myself by saying it was a bit commercial for me. However the song is catchy and I like the song but it doesn't set the tone for her album. If you purchased her latest album in search of more songs like Honey you may be pissed.

This album is unlike any other work done by Erykah Badu. She was clearly on some other ish when she was working on this album, but whatever she was on, I love it. Im a true Badu fan and I truly understand her music.

The Healer is maybe her best work thus far. Erykah is a MC at heart and her lyrics are soul deep. Listening to this album makes you forget about your troubles and think about what others are going through and makes you want to make a difference in the world.

This album is disgustingly brilliant!! Its a classic....
